The HSHA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Beginning January 1, 2007, you will need proof of donations in any amount if you want a tax deduction. We'll automatically send a letter for all donations unless you specify that you do not want a letter documenting your donation. For donations of equipment, you will need a letter from us for your tax files. Well provide the letter automatically upon receiving such donations.
The HSHA encourages and accepts matching donations from employers. If your employer provides matching donations to non-profit organizations, feel free to provide our IRS Tax ID number: 94-3361931.
